The Durban Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and Garlicke & Bousfield Inc will be hosting their third International Business Dialogue meeting at 16:00 on Tuesday 18th of November at Garlicke & Bousfield’s offices in La Lucia Ridge. The intention of these meetings is to provide local businesses with a platform to share insights into business dealings beyond the borders of South Africa and, in so doing, to learn lessons from each other that will help them survive the challenges of operating in the global market place. The upcoming event will feature “Venturing into Africa”.
Executives from Moore Stephens CJL will be attending to elaborate on some of that firm’s programmes relating to expatriate emloyment in Africa.
These Dialogue meetings form part of the joint pioneer project by the DCCI and Garlicke & Bousfield Inc to encourage international business activity in Durban. The project aims at assisting local companies with international market access; providing relevant, reliable information to SMMEs; and improving business skills to enhance the competitiveness of South African businesses globally.
“Garlicke & Bousfield, in collaboration with the DCCI, is committed to supporting Durban and the communities in which we operate,” says Richard Cookson, an international business specialist associated with Garlicke & Bousfield. “We have extensive experience in multinational transactions and are therefore able to coach local businesses in international business dealings. Our intention is to encourage local businesses to share their expertise and experiences so that they can benefit when venturing into the international business arena. It is one of the ways we all most effectively give back to the Durban business community of which we are all a part.”
