cas28 April 1966 - 19 October 2011 - It is with regret and sadness that Law Holdings announce the untimely passing of Cas Viljoen in Cape Town last Wednesday night.
Since June 2008 Cas has served the Law Holdings Group as Managing Director and shareholder of Law Data (Pty) Ltd (formerly Law Deed). For eleven years prior to that he owned iDeed (Pty) Ltd until it was acquired by Law in May 2008.

He played a pivotal role in the development of Searchworks, Law's successful data searching tool.

Shabir Makda, a former employee, posted a message on Facebook that best sums up how Cas will be remembered by his colleagues.
"I learnt more from Cas Viljoen in the 14/15 months working for him than anywhere else I worked. He was like a father to most of us and never made you feel like you worked for him, more like you were his son or daughter. Those who knew him will know what I mean. I will miss you Cas. I hope you RIP!!!"

Cas is survived by his life partner Mujiono Viljoen, his sister Jacqui Truter and brother Pauli Viljoen.

Rest in Peace Cas.
Thank you for giving my son Jason Rose a kickstart with his working career. I approached Cas, telling him that my eldest son needed to somehow find employment as he was finding it difficult in the marketplace with everyone requesting experience, this Jason did not have. Without hesitation he said Jason should contact him and within 2 days he was employed. Thank you Cas for giving my son a chance at a career. Sharon Roe
