We have noticed in almost half the firms we visit that there are instances of illegal software - not only Microsoft products but vendor software as well. The attorneys at these firms leave the IT up to either internal or independent contractors, many of whom are not what we deem to be 'qualified' and its in those instances that we see illegal software - its been copied in 90% of the cases and not registered with the vendor.
