Good request Quintus, and valid comments John - thanks.
I believe that John is right, reporting on the pricing structure, and then comparing them, would not be fair to any provider. I would think that if somebody was looking at practice management systems, which in my books is a huge bold leap for any firm, I would think that they would be better placed in speaking to the vendors that they think might offer them a solution to their needs. And to be honest, a request to this forum asking members to comment on their experience, or even ask for comments on a certain product in the practice management market, would be far better than me comparing the products. I believe that you need to match the needs and the solution, the best fit should be the system you implement.
On the conveyancing vendors, I would be happy to do market share and overview - I will note it and make time in one of the forthcoming issues - I would have tackled it in January, but I already have a packed article issue for January.
In closing, this forum is there for people to share ideas, opinions and request information or help, what better buying assistance could you ask for? And I hope lots of people make extensive use of it.
BTW, Quintus, what is your view on the software piracy in law firms - do you believe it is 34% like the BSA reports for SA business, or is it closer to 90%? I would be keen to see what you think, and add it to the piracy thread.
