Try DUMeter from www.dumeter.com - it is much better at measuring usage than VMC. But you still have to trust Vodacom's website regarding your usage, especially if running multiple PCs.

Verizon just released 4G in America. Download speeds up to 50mb/s. Upload to 25mb/s. I think SA is not far off. We've had 3G before most countries, if only the pricing will now also addapt!

One thing however is certain... The speed of 3G did drop the past year, by more than half. And they are capping on file downloads as well. I used to burst to over 1000kbs, now I am lucky to get over 100 - i doesn't reach standstill after 10mb.
