TOPIC: The relevance of e-mail evidence in court

The relevance of e-mail evidence in court 1 Year, 10 Months ago
A number of high-profile cases, with the prosecution depending heavily on e-mail evidence, have been in the news in recent months. Ranging from that Senior Cabinet Minister’s wife, to teenagers being sentenced in the UK for their online slang. I am no IT fundi, but surely e-mails can be tampered with and still seem to be authentic? What if only a hardcopy is available but not the machine the e-mail was received on? Can anyone clarify this for me?
