Top rankings underline Philips’ position as global leader in audio competence. Speech Processing Solutions has come out on top in Nuance Communications’ latest recording-accuracy test with its Philips dictation devices.
With the release of the new version 12 of the “Dragon Naturally Speaking” speech recognition software, Nuance conducted hardware tests on products from Philips, Dictaphone, Olympus, InSync and Andrea Electronics and published these results recently on their website. The entire range of Philips devices, from the Pocket Memo 9600 to the SpeechMike Premium and SpeechMike 3rd generation, were awarded the highest ratings in the Nuance survey in regard to microphone quality and clarity of recordings. For medical practitioners, lawyers and other professionals who work with speech recognition, the higher the recording quality, the better the speech recognition rating and the faster the document turnaround times.
Nuance test recognizes first-class microphones

Also, the Philips Pocket Memo dictation recorders, which are used by professionals such as lawyers and sales representatives, were rated best-in-class in the Nuance survey. In the field of mobile devices, the whole Philips digital Voice Tracer
Range from DVT1000 to DVT5000, as tested and reviewed in the category “Recorders”, also achieved the maximum score with the three top positions in the category.
