This week we will tackle an overview of SpellBook AI, not an in-depth review, as that is not possible unless I actually used it in a real-life situation for a couple of months, and that cannot happen, but an overview of what I can find doing research, and that means better than asking any AI 😉
Then once that is covered, I want to discuss something a little more meaty…the costs of AI. What is normal, what is fair, what is expensive, what should be expected, bang for buck, what term contracts make sense – generally we talk your money.
BUT…..
This is going to be an interactive discussion, we need everybody to voice their experience and views, for us to get the most out of the session. Everyone one of us has a different opinion of cheap and expensive, so let us discuss it and at the end have a view that benefits your practice positively.

This is such a practical and timely topic. The idea of a fireside chat focused on the actual costs of AI tools is great—so many discussions focus on features, but the real-world question for any law firm is always “what is this going to cost us and is it worth it?” The interactive format, where everyone shares their experience, sounds like the best way to get a realistic picture.
I’m curious about the pricing models they’ll discuss. For a tool like Spellbook, which is designed for drafting and reviewing contracts, do most providers charge a flat monthly fee per user, or is it more variable based on usage or the size of the firm? I’d love to know what the “typical” cost structure looks like and whether there are any hidden costs (like training or integration) that firms should watch out for.
Hello Denzel
You missed the webinar, it was last week, and the people who subscribe to the Fireside chats, also get the wrap up feedback notes the day after.
The pricing is not black and white, there is a base price and then module up on what you need. The practical solution price from them is about $299 per month per user.
We also discussed the disbursement of costs as well.
