lawpropLAW Property relationship managers recently ran a charity drive during women’s month in support of The Jess Foord Foundation. This organization was established to educate people and raise awareness about rape while assisting and empowering rape survivors.

The initiative was called “The Handbag Project” and involved the collection of bags which would later be turned into emergency packs. These packs contain medication and personal items to assist survivors in dealing with the trauma of rape and get handed out at District surgeon’s rooms.

amcmaster_and_smolebatsiWe had an amazing response from our customers and staff alike and were able to collect much more bags than was anticipated. Some customers even offered to become depots for the collection of bags in their regions which was well received by the organization.

Pictured to the left are Alta McMaster (Foundation representative in Gauteng) and Sandy Molebatsi (LAW Property relationship manager who initiated the charity drive) with some of the bags collected.

Thank you to all who contributed and donated bags for your kind support!
