XpressDox has introduced a “free” Lite version of its well known document assembly system which is ideally suited for smaller law firms. “What most legal secretaries want is a quick way to create letters and repetitive documents,” says Chris Pearson of XpressDox.
“Secretaries simply don’t have time to learn a new software programme, or to create complex document templates. Now, with XpressDox Lite, they can begin creating their own templates in under ten minutes,” he added.
XpressDox Lite allows secretaries to:
- include the firm letterhead;
- insert today’s date into a document in the format they require; and
- insert fillpoints or “variables”.
The software can be downloaded from the XpressDox website (www.xpressdox.com) and after downloading, an email will provide a link to a simple ten minute tutorial.
Despite the fact that document assembly systems are incredibly powerful, most legal secretaries simply use them for inserting “stop codes” as they were known in the old days. Now, with XpressDox Lite they can create productive templates in no time at all – for free.
