AJS is excited to announce the arrival of its new ‘baby’, AJS Express Accounting for the single practitioner or small to mid-sized firm. The system is Cloud hosted, which means that users don’t need a server and they can work from anywhere using only a Browser.
This makes it possible to work from home, a branch office, while on the road, or even from a client’s office. Other benefits are that daily backups are done automatically and the system is not affected by ransomware, providing complete peace of mind. So in situations where a client’s PC is stolen or where a hard drive fails productivity will not be affected at all.
“AJS Express is a full-featured legal accounting and practice management system,” said Chris Pearson, Sales Director at AJS. “So although it is suited for small firms, there is no reason why a 20 or 30 user firm cannot use it too.” The system includes modules for time recording, fees and billing, debtors and creditors and general ledger, FICA management, assets register, dead-files, and contacts management. In short, everything a firm needs to manage their finances. There are also a number of financial and practice management reports which ship standard with the system.
In addition to being able to work from anywhere – which introduces a number of possibilities for innovation, the new AJS also significantly reduces total cost of ownership. There is no term contract whatsoever, no notice period, and no up-front installation fee. “With all of these benefits you might expect AJS Express to be really expensive, but we have priced it very affordably,” said Pearson. A single-user system is priced at R1,250 per month excluding VAT. Additional users are priced at R500 (excl VAT) per user per month.
The fact that there is no contract at all makes it easy for firms to sign up for AJS Express as there is no risk. Since the system is hosted in the Cloud, it is much quicker to get the client up and running, and training is provided online at no extra charge.
“For the larger firm we also offer the full AJS Enterprise system, either hosted or on the client’s own server, and AJS Enterprise caters for full customisation and includes process automation,” adds Pearson. “We even offer an optional bookkeeping and financial management service for law firms who wish to outsource their admin functions so they can focus on practising law.”
