Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its global footprint with the opening of the AWS Africa (Cape Town) Region. AWS now spans 73 Availability Zones within 23 geographic regions worldwide.
The new Infrastructure Region meets the highest levels of security, availability, compliance, and data protection – enabling African organizations to provide low latency to end users across the continent. Organizations of all sizes, startups, government organizations, education institutions, and non-profit organizations across the continent can start using the new AWS Africa (Cape Town) Region to better serve communities, expand education and remote learning, achieve scientific breakthroughs, and experiment freely.
