The annual Payroll Taxes & Associated Legislation – Mid Year Seminar, will again be presented by Rob Nowicki, who has vast practical experience in the payroll industry and has been actively involved in developing and managing Payroll, HR and Tax Systems for over thirty years, both locally and internationally.
This seminar targets anyone who has some involvement with day to day payroll management and who needs the basic knowhow/skills to ensure they are compliant.
It is designed to assist Payroll Managers, Payroll Administrators, and anyone else involved with the day to day management of payroll activities, to clear up any confusion caused by the ongoing blizzard of tax and legislative changes affecting Payroll, i.e., the Retirement Reform, Additional Medical Tax Credits, new tax tables … the list goes on!
When one adds the potential changes envisaged by the Tax Laws Amendment Bill of 2016, the ongoing confusion created by e@syfile and the policy and procedural changes at SARS, it’s clear even the most organised payroll professional could use some assistance. The seminar will provide a brief reminder and a checklist of all recent changes and developments which became effective from March this year. It will also deal with the tax certificate changes that are due for implementation for the August submission as well as those tax and legislative changes that are due by March 2017. Particular note will be taken of the employee related data that needs to be corrected and captured before submitting this year’s tax certificates.
