NOTICE TO CONVEYANCERS AND CLIENTS. DECEMBER ARRANGEMENTS:
1.Due to the announcement made by the President, declaring the 15th of December a national holiday, the office will have double registrations on the 14th December 2023.Registration will start at 9h00 and finish at 12h00.
2.Double Registration will also be done on the 21st December 2023 because of the early closure on the 22nd. It will start at 9h00 until 12h00.
3.The office will close at 10h00 on the 22nd and no lodgements and registrations will be accepted on that day.
4.The office will try to register all the deeds lodged before the office closure but conveyancers are encouraged to lodge most of their deeds before the 11th December 2023. The deeds lodged after the 11th will possibly be registered in January 2024.
5.The office will be closed from the 27th December 2023 until the 1st January 2024.
N.B: A system change request will be done to enable deeds to remain at Prep from the 22nd December to the 08th January 2024.

Johannesburg Deeds Office Year-End Party
The office will close for clients and the public at 10:00 on the 14th December 2023 as staff members will be attending a planned year-end function.
The office will allow for an extended registration, lodgement and special blackbooking on the 13th December 2023 until 12:00 and will also accommodate clients on the 18th December 2023 with various ADHOC requests for registration.

1. Purpose:
To notify clients and conveyancers of arrangements regarding the provisioning of information, and the registration of deeds and documents during December 2023 and January 2024.
2. Lodgement of deeds:
The clients are encouraged to lodge deeds daily in accordance with the office practice and procedures. Deeds and documents lodged by 12 December 2023, will be made available at Preparation section, on or before 21 December 2023 for registration.
3. Deeds at Preparation section and Final black booking
Deeds and documents received at Preparation Section from 18 December 2023 to 5 January 2024, must be registered on or before 12 January 2024.
The office will allow clients to black book (Special black booking) deeds which are at Preparation section from 18 – 21 December 2023.
Automatic rejection of deeds and documents which are received at Preparation section from 18 December 2023 will be de-activated until 12 January 2024.
4. Closing of the office during festive season
Most of our officials will be on leave from 27 December 2023 to 29 December 2023, and therefore the office will be closed on these days.
The last day of lodgement and execution of deeds and documents will be on 21 December 2023.
The office will close at 10h00 on 22 December 2023
Therefore, it is highly recommended that the conveyancers finalise the registration of deeds and documents on 21 December 2023.
Conveyancers are reminded to take cognisance of the lapsing of rates clearance certificates and other compliance certificates, as this will have an effect on their registrability.

Notice to Clients and Conveyancers: Working arrangements during the festive season.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this notice is to ensure that all clients and conveyancers are aware of the arrangements in place during the upcoming festive season.
2. Lodgement of Deeds
We encourage our clients to lodge deeds and documents on a daily basis, adhering to our established practices and procedures. Deeds and documents submitted on or before 11 December 2023 will be processed and made available at Prep by no later than 19 December 2023 for registration. Deeds and documents lodged after 19 December 2023 is not guaranteed to be made available for registration by 21 December 2023.
3. Deeds at the Prep and Hand ins
Deeds and documents which have been made available and at Prep from 14 December 2023 must be registered on or before 12 January 2024. There will be 2 hand in times from 18 to 20 December 2023, normal hand times 8:30am to 11:45am and again at 13:30pm to 14:30pm.
Please note that deeds and documents that have come up on Prep from 14 December 2023 will not be subjected to an automatic rejection within 5 days. Automatic rejection will be temporarily suspended until 12 January 2024.
4. Office Closure during the Festive Season
In accordance with Departmental Circular 94 of 2023, officials are recommended to take leave from 27 to 29 December 2023. Consequently, our office will be closed during these days.
To ensure a smooth process, we highly recommend that conveyancing firms finalise the registration of deeds and documents on 20 December 2023. The last day for execution for 2023 will be on 21 December 2023. There will be no special arrangements for registration from the 22- 29 December 2023.
Please take note that our office will close at 10:00 am on 22 December 2023 and open on 02 January 2024.

NOTICE TO CLIENTS AND STAFF – SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON
- The Deeds Office: King Williams Town received approval from the Director-General to close at 10h00 on 22 December 2023 and re-open on 02 January 2024.
- Please note deeds lodged on or before 08 December 2023 will be prioritized for registration by 21 December 2023. Also note deeds lodged from 11 to 21 December 2023 may only be registered from 02 January 2024.
- Registration/execution of deeds will take place from 08h30-10:30 and 11:00-13h00 from the 19*h to the 21st of December 2023. Requests for late registration will be considered until 12h00.
- No lodgement nor registrations will take place on Friday, 22 December 2023.
- The last day for submission of all applications in respect of Cape Town requests is 08 December 2023. Any requests thereafter will not be processed until 02 January 2024.
- All Deeds Office accounts must be settled by 22 December 2023, and proof of payment must be sent to delcia.watermeyer@dalrrd.qov.za and tebogo.sibanyoni@dalrrd.gov.za.

December Arrangements
Please take note that the Limpopo Deeds Office will have a double execution on the 14th December 2023 due to the public holiday on 15 December 2023.
On the 21ST December 2023 there will also be a double execution, because the office will close at 10:00 on 22nd December 2023.
Execution hours will be extended till 12:00 and start earlier than usual at 9:00 on the above dates.
No lodgements and registrations will be accepted on the 22nd December 2023 as the office will be closed at 10h00.
NB Please take note that the office will try and assist to register deeds lodged from the from the 1st December 2023 before office closure on the 22nd December 2023, however conveyancers are encouraged to lodge their deeds early in December before the 11th.
Deeds lodged after 11thDecember2023 will possibly only register when the office re-opens during January 2024.
The office will be closed for business on the following working days during December 2023 and re-open on 2nd January 2024
