Annually, during the month of August, LAW Property hosts events for its female clientele in association with women focused charities. The events generate much needed awareness and support for these charities.
This year three charity events were hosted as follows:
• Durban – in support of Open Door Crisis Centre, a crisis centre assisting victims of abuse and human trafficking. www.opendoor.org.za
• Johannesburg – in support of the Epic Foundation, an organisation dedicated to the assistance of rape and abuse victims. www.epicfoundation.org.za
• Port Elizabeth – in support of Yokhuselo Haven, an organisation offering women a safe haven from domestic violence. Yokhuselo Facebook link
Guest speakers included Alta McMaster, Mark Grobbelaar (Women INpowered) and Thora Mansfield who inspired and motivated everyone.
We were humbled by the generosity of our clients who contributed by donating comfort packs and other basic items to the charities. These packs consist of toiletries and other essential items for rape survivors and women at local shelters. Your donations will certainly be put to good use.
LAW would like to thank everyone who took time to attend and make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
