Document Accounting Solutions has rolled out MobiTrac, a mobile phone call logging and billing application for the Southern African region. Document Accounting Solutions director, Russel Roth points out that consult calls are generally never charged for, even though it means a potential billable income especially for doctors and lawyers.
“When the call is finished, the information is transferred to the MobiTrac server and bills the client accordingly. The software is downloaded onto the mobile phone in minutes,” notes Roth.
Roth explains that MobiTrac is well-suited for law firms and medical professions as they can bill clients for telephonic consultations on an hourly rate.
Roth says that the biggest benefits to the company is to secure lost revenue from cellphone calls, reduced paper work and provides an automated back office process that provides a dashboard on client call patterns.
The user puts in their individual rate per hour in the Web-based back office system during setup. The solution currently runs on BlackBerry phones and Windows Mobile enabled smartphones; however, Roth indicates that it will be expanded to run on additional phones in the future.
