LexisNexis® South Africa (www.lexisnexis.co.za), a leading provider of content and technology solutions, has announced the launch of its latest online product: LexisNexis® eBooks. Specifically created to meet the evolving online research needs of professionals in the South African government, corporate and academic fields, the new digital format will allow professionals to access information instantly.
“South African professionals will now be able to stay ahead of the game with LexisNexis eBooks,” said LexisNexis South Africa CEO, Billy Last. “This new format is designed to help professionals access the information that they need, whenever they need it, wherever they are. The product is available across multiple platforms and can be accessed from a broad range of electronic devices such as laptops, smartphones and eReaders.”
Professionals can simply visit the LexisNexis online bookstore at www.lexisnexis.co.za/ebooks to choose from a variety of electronic books aimed at the legal, tax, accounting and financial services industries. Customers who’ve made their purchase at the online bookstore will receive an email with a link to download their electronic publication from the LexisNexis website. In order to retrieve all LexisNexis eBooks with the least amount of difficulty, Last suggests customers have Adobe Digital software installed on their electronic devices and have a secured Adobe ID account. Once downloaded, all digital books can be stored on the electronic device offline, and customers need not worry about whether or not they have internet access to read the publications.
eBooks look and act much like a print book, with the same familiar indexing and layout. Helpful search tools, hyperlinks and cross-referencing functions ensure quick and easy access to key information that is compact and convenient to access. Despite all these new functions, eBooks use a surprisingly low amount of memory and a wonderful paperless option for today’s modern eco-conscious office and a great alternative to the outdated and costly CD and DVD technologies.
Prospective customers can now save 20% when purchasing an electronic copy of a publication and save 40% when purchasing an eBook and print copy.
“Essentially, customers will effectively pay only 20% more on their print copy and get an eBook, which is included with their publication,” said Last.
Customers who wish to receive information about new releases can subscribe to the LexisNexis eBooks electronic newsletter at www.lexisnexis.co.za/ebooks.
