bamboo_paperUsing your finger or a stylus to hand write your notes. This free app is a real meeting discussion point – everybody wants the app, in fact most download it during the meeting!

The free version comes with a 100 page notepad. I normally take notes and then clear the pages once I have transcribed the tasks and important information into Outlook.bamboopaperpage It forces you to recap the meeting and extract the important points.

You can bookmark pages and in the view mode filter the view to only the bookmarked pages for easy access.

There is an eraser to correct your mistakes, just like in real-life (writing not life itself!).

You can email, save image or print the active page – so if you were patient enough, you could print each page before deleting.

By tapping the page number you get a thumbnail view of your pages so that you can easily find the page you are looking for.

The screen rather cleverly works out that your palm when resting on the tablet screen is not your finger and does not draw/write anything. You are able to zoom in and out of the pages using the usual finger actions.

I like the app because it allows me to easily take meeting notes without having to carry a physical notepad and pen, and the app forces me to recount the meeting and extract the important information before clearing the pages for new notes.

What I don’t like, is that sometimes I cannot read my own handwriting – but the same happens using a physical notepad and pen!
