Survey on the cost of BBBEE for your business

Survey overview

As the regulatory landscape in South Africa continues to evolve, businesses face a complex task in balancing transformation goals with operational sustainability. While the strategic intent of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) is well-documented, there is a lack of data regarding the cost of complying with these requirements.

We are conducting a survey to quantify these costs—ranging from initial advisory fees and skills development spend to the more complex opportunity costs associated with equity dilution.

Why Participate? The objective of this research is to provide an objective, data-driven view of the financial commitment required to meet B-BBEE requirements. By participating, you contribute to a clearer understanding of the economic pressures on South African businesses.

Confidentiality & Data Privacy: We recognise the sensitivity of the financial information requested. Please be assured that:

·  All responses are strictly confidential. We request the email address only to prevent duplicate responses.

·  Data will be reported only in aggregate format (e.g., national averages and percentages).

·  No individual company names or specific transaction details will be recorded or reported.

Survey Details:

·  Estimated Time: 10–12 minutes.

·  Data Needed: It may be helpful to have your most recent B-BBEE verification file or your last annual financial statements on hand to calculate accurate percentages of revenue and profit.
