LexisNexis South Africa and Cura Software Solutions Partner to Offer Powerful GRC Software Solution – CuraComply
Durban – 9 March 2010, LexisNexis South Africa, a leading provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, today announced it has entered into an exclusive alliance partnership with Cura Software Solutions to offer companies a powerful new compliance solution called CuraComply.
This solution will provide easy to understand electronic checklists of all Acts and Regulations, thus enabling compliance officers to manage areas of non-compliance immediately and effectively.
“Navigating South Africa’s compliance environment is an increasingly complex task, as companies now need to comply with over one hundred Acts,” says Billy Last, CEO of LexisNexis South Africa. “Company CEO’s and compliance officers will be able to use this solution to understand quickly where their company is not complying and put corrective actions in place.”
Cura Software Solutions is South Africa’s largest governance, risk and compliance (GRC) software provider and is regarded as one of the five global leaders in the GRC domain by Forrester Research and Gartner Research. The CuraComply solution combines a world class software platform, developed by Cura, with up-to-the minute legislative content and interpretation of GRC regulations by LexisNexis.
Through LexisNexis access to regularly updated GRC data and documentation, coupled with high quality interpretation of all relevant laws, acts and regulations, the software produces simple to understand checklists, which can be answered by a company’s compliance officer. Content checklists include the likes of the new Companies Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Mine Health and Safety Act, as well as FICA and FAIS requirements.
The software ranks the compliance status based on answers to questions on every individually tailored checklist, and the need for compliance with certain pieces of legislation. After completing the survey, the CuraComply tool aggregates the results and reports on the company’s level of compliance. It then provides automated recommendations and corrective actions to address non-compliant areas of the business for each respondent.
“Since the launch of the product at the beginning of February this year, a number of clients are already successfully using CuraComply,” says David Smith, CFO of Cura Software Solutions.
The affordable and cost-effective CuraComply solution is available from LexisNexis and from Cura Software Solutions. For more information, contact LexisNexis Risk Management on 011 245 6558 or Cura Software Solutions at 011 3217500, or e-mail info@curasoftware.com.
